Juventus Still Tracking Chelsea Unhappy Fullback Emerson Palmieri

Emerson Palmieri would like to return to Italy and Juventus in particular are monitoring him ahead of the next window. The left-back has fallen out of favor at Chelsea after Ben Chilwell’s arrival and also Marcos Alonso has seen more playing time than him. However, the Blues drove a hard bargain when teams previously inquired about him, Sky Sport reports.

Emerson had landed on Juventus and Inter radar in January already, but they could not meet the asking price that had remained high despite his limited usage. He was acquired for €20M from Roma in 2018 and he will just a year left on his deal come this summer. He has featured just 14 times in the current campaign, for a total of 778 minutes. The defender would like to head back to Serie A to avoid losing his spot in the Azzurri squad, but he remains likely to be called up for Euro 2021 by coach Roberto Mancini.

The Bianconeri will strongly consider moving on from Alex Sandro if they received a good offer. Robin Gosens is atop the list of possible targets to upgrade the left-back position, but it will not be easy to acquire him as the competition is stiff and Atalanta want €40M.

AS informed recently that Juventus have had talks with Sevilla regarding a possible swap between Federico Bernardeschi and Marcos Acuna, who plays in the same position. The 29-year-old Argentinian fullback has spent three years with Sporting before moving to Andalusia.
