Empoli are ready to onboard Elia Caprile on loan from Napoli, who have confirmed his acquisition from Bari on a permanent deal.
Napoli have taken advantage of their close relationship with Bari to execute not only the transfer of Caprile but are close to luring Walid Cheddira as well, having kept a close eye on the Morocco striker since the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

As per Sky Italia, Caprile will arrive in Naples on a five-year contract but will first spend 2023/24 on loan in Tuscany with Empoli. However, the Partenopei are expected to execute a similar deal for Cheddira, by sending the Moroccan to develop for a year at the Gli Azzurri.

The De Laurentiis family owns both Bari and Napoli, making transfer negotiations easy to execute between the two clubs. The Scudetto winners have succeeded in onboarding Caprile, with negotiations for Cheddira in advanced stages. Confirmation is expected to arrive by the weekend.
Ultimately, Empoli are bound to benefit from both the Napoli acquisitions from Bari.
