Eriksen Practices for the First Time since Health Scare

Christian Eriksen participated in a training session yesterday, almost six months after his heart attack. He did it in Odense, where he resides and is currently rehabbing under the supervision of the surgeons that operated on him. He ran some laps and took a few shots, Sky Sport reports.

His agent Martin Schoots gave an interview with Goal.com: “As every person that went through what happened to him, he is focusing on his recovery. He likes to do it privately, either in Milan or in Denmark. When he is his home country, he can use the Odense facilities, which is a great gesture by his former team.”

The playing career of Eriksen remains up in the air: “Chris has a positive attitude. He is optimistic and energetic. But it is not yet time to talk about football. It is only up to him to decide when and if that will happen.”

Odense director Micheal Hemmingsen told BT: “We are happy that Eriksen is keeping himself in shape on our pitches. We have stayed in touch with him since he left our youth academy. We are happy he asked to train here.”

As things stand, Eriksen would not be able to play in Italy as he was fitted with a temporary IFD. However, he could do it in different countries, as Daley Blind does. Inter left every door open in their latest financial report, indicating that a transfer and the rescission of his contract are possible. On top of Odense, also Ajax showed interest in a reunion.
