Ex-Milan Chief Boban Believes the Champions Could Do Better

Ex-Milan attacking midfielder and Chief Football Officer Zvonimir Boban, who currently heads UEFA as its Chief of Football, has spoken out regarding the Rossoneri’s ability to do better despite them claiming the Scudetto last season.

Speaking to the press (via SempreMilan.it) at the Gazzetta Sports Awards, Boban revealed he has hopes of Milan winning yet another Scudetto this season .

“Another Scudetto? I sure hope so. When it comes to have a clear, well-defined tactical structure, without changing much, in my opinion they could do even better.”

Nonetheless, he is pleased with the development of Stefano Pioli’s Milan, citing the presence of team spirit and belonging as key, despite his urge for them to improve.

“Every Milan player gives 110% every match: there is team spirit, a sense of belonging; it’s fantastic to see them fight, sometimes I would like to see them a little more orderly.”

The current Italian champions sit third in the league table, a point behind Atalanta and two behind league leaders Napoli. Milan host local rivals Monza next, as they seek to level points with the Partenopei, who play Roma on the weekend.
