Ex-Milan President Berlusconi Beats Rossoneri and Co. to Chievo Talent

Inter, Milan, Juventus, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have been beaten to the signing of 17-year-old Chievo Verona prodigy Samuele Vignato. Silvio Berlusconi’s AC Monza have secured the signature of the teenager as some of the world’s top clubs had set their sights on him.

The 2004-born talent was earlier reported to be one of Milan and Juventus’ top targets but now the big guns have conceded to Monza’s persuasion. The prospect of a free transfer along with regular playing minutes has attracted the mutual interest of both the player and the club. The Serie B club have the chance to develop Vignato into a world-class talent and provide him a stage to shine on.

For Chievo Primavera last season, Vignato scored a total of 14 goals and 11 assists in 18 second division matches – garnering a fantastic record of 25 goal contributions in as many matches. He scored a goal every 101 minutes in a total of 1,412 minutes played.

His brother Emanuel Vignato has etched himself as a vital member of Bologna’s first team and now, his younger sibling looks to make his mark on Italian football.
