Felipe Anderson alluded to the fact that he could sign an extension with Lazio in short order. The parties have been trying to come to terms for a while. He spoke with Il Tempo.
“I have an excellent relationship with the president. We’re on the right path. There’ll be some news soon. We’ll meet in the next few days. I’ve always given my priority to Lazio. The important thing is to reach an agreement that makes everybody happy. The owner wants to continue together too.”
Felipe Anderson fielded some calls from Saudi Arabia in the recent past.
“I was contacted during the summer, as they knew my contract was expiring. They wanted to know whether I wished to leave. They were just inquiries and not real negotiations.”
The Brazilian winger addressed his return.
“I wanted it. When I left Porto, I immediately asked my sister whether there was a chance to come back. We seized the opportunity. Rome is my home, while, when I go back to Brazil, it’s to visit my mom.”
Felipe Anderson mused on his relationship with Maurizio Sarri.
“He always has nice words towards me. That pushes me to repay him with facts on the pitch. We all need to improve, but the team always puts in the right effort. I’m disappointed when I don’t manage to pull my weight as I want. We proved we were returning to our levels in recent games.”
