In an interview with Sportitalia (via TuttoBolognaweb), his agent Bill McMurdo reiterated the stature Ferguson holds at the Dall’Ara.
“The relationship with Motta is extraordinary, Lewis has faith in the coach who is making him grow as a footballer and Bologna is the right club for him. Ferguson has always been convinced of this from the first time that we talked to each other.”
McMurdo also stated Ferguson’s decision to ignore foreign offers, including interest from Napoli and Juventus, and the fact that he’s enjoying life in Bologna.
“In July, we signed the renewal, and Bologna declared him untransferable despite there being interest from a Premier team and an Italian one. In Bologna he is very happy.”
As the intermediary says, Ferguson is seen as indispensable at Bologna, with the team relying heavily on his midfield prowess. Led by Ferguson in midfield, the Rossoblù are unbeaten in 11 games on the trot.
