Fiorentina’s never-ending search for a goalkeeper to replace Pietro Terracciano might be nearing a close, with FC Copenhagen’s Kamil Grabara in pole position to arrive in Firenze. After establishing contacts and putting forth an opening bid, the Viola are confident of acquiring the Polish shotstopper, who could kickstart his career in one of the top-five European leagues following a failed spell at Liverpool.
According to reports, Fiorentina, following talks with the agent of Grabara, submitted an opening proposal of €6M plus a 20% future resale to Copenhagen, which they are expected to build upon with an additional €6M offer. The Danish giants, however, expect at least €15M in their coffers.

His agent has demanded a five-year contract with the Gigliati. Wolfsburg have also expressed interest in signing Grabara in a bid to find the successor of Koen Casteels, who finds himself on Fiorentina’s shortlist. However, at the moment, it is Grabara who is Fiorentina’s first choice to man the posts.
Our Take on Grabara and Fiorentina
Only 24, Grabara could be considered a budding goalkeeper to arrive and develop further in Florence. However, experience-wise, Casteels is the safer bet despite his age, with the Belgian establishing himself as one of Bundesliga’s mainstays in the past decade.
