Fiorentina CEO Barone: “Never Any Doubts About Italiano”

Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone has dismissed any notion of Vincenzo Italiano leaving the club, given there is one more year on the former Spezia tactician’s Viola contract. The 45-year-old also dished on a handful of arrivals and departures that have made the headlines.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Barone banished any doubts surrounding Italiano’s stay.

“I’ve never had any doubts about the Italiano’s permanence. There have been many rumors about him but I’ve never had any doubts. We are building a competitive team. We are happy with Arthur, he will give us a lot in midfield. In January we signed Sabiri, who stayed at Sampdoria, and now we have Parisi.”

Barone also took the chance to speak about Sofyan Amrabat, who has been linked to a plethora of top clubs including Manchester United, Barcelona, Newcastle United, and Bayern Munich, among others.

“I am very close to Amrabat, we talk almost every day. At the moment, no offers have arrived, we will evaluate them if they do. in case he will have to stay focused on Fiorentina when he returns to the group”.
