Sofyan Amrabat is drawing plenty of attention thanks to his stellar performances in the World Cup, but Fiorentina are in the driver’s seat concerning his future. They have an option to extend his contract until 2025, TuttoSport informs.
They haven’t gotten huge offers so far. The midfielder is likely to finish the season with the Viola. The club plans to activate the clause to have more leverage. However, the brass and the player will decide his future together at the end of the season.
Should Amrabat leave for a sizeable bid, Fiorentina would be ready to re-invest the money in a pair of Verona midfielders, Adrien Tameze and Ivan Ilic. It’s the same club from which they originally acquired the Moroccan staple.
Jurgen Klopp appeared to take Liverpool, one of the keenest clubs, out of the running in a recent presser (via Reuters).
