Fiorentina Confident About Keeping Vlahovic Amid Inter and Spurs Buzz

Dusan Vlahovic’s agent Darko Ristic is currently in Italy to negotiate his client’s new deal. The striker has been linked to several top teams, but Fiorentina believe he will stay and put pen-to-paper. Despite the rumors, the club has not received a real offer yet, Corriere dello Sport reports.

However, only finalizing the extension would remove the uncertainties about his short-term future. It will run at least through 2025, maybe with an optional fifth season. His salary will increase from the current €800k per year to €3M, the newspaper adds.

Instead, the two parties are still discussing the release clause. The player’s entourage wants a reasonable one, while Fiorentina would prefer it to be lofty. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the brass is looking to set it at €70M. In any case, it will come into effect only starting from next summer. President Rocco Commisso will return to Italy for the opening match and will likely announce it.

Vlahovic has been involved in the carousel of strikers triggered by the imminent departure of Romelu Lukaku. Inter like him a lot, but Fiorentina ask for €60M. It is too much for Roma, which are about to lose Edin Dzeko. Atletico Madrid and Arsenal are seeking a big-ticket striker as well. The Gunners are currently focusing their efforts on Tammy Abraham. Tottenham showed the most interest in case they sold Harry Kane. Should somebody blow away the Viola with a massive bid, Gianluca Scamacca would be the top option to fill in, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
