Fiorentina will try to persuade Genoa to sell Albert Gudmundsson up until the final hours of the January window. Their offer has come short of the lofty request so far, but they haven’t concretely moved on to other options at this stage, Alfredo Pedullà relays.

The Grifone signed two attackers in the last couple of days: Vitinha from Olympique Marseille and David Ankeye from Sheriff Tiraspol. They spent €2.5M for the latter, while the Portuguese joined a season-long loan with a €25M option to buy. The redeemed Ruslan Malinovskyi for €7M as part of the deal.
Fiorentina currently have Almeria’s Largie Ramazani as the most tangible alternative to Gudmundsson, Sky informs. He has a €6M valuation. He has notched 3 goals and 4 assists in 21 appearances in La Liga. He’s under contract till 2025.
If the Gigliati grabbed a winger, they’d let Antonin Barak join Cagliari on loan. The Sardinians will bring in Yerry Mina from the Viola. They are also going after Napoli’s Gianluca Gaetano should they miss out on their primary objective.

It won’t be cheap, but it’d be a massive coup if they pulled it off. It’s arguably the perfect type of team for him. It would be a nice change of pace for them if they splurged on a high-profile signing. Considering his superb performances and the tight table, he could potentially swing the Champions League race in their favor.
