Fiorentina Examine Potential Montipò Acquisition from Verona

Fiorentina’s search for a keeper to replace Pietro Terracciano has taken them across Europe, with Verona’s Montipò now being enquired about. However, they have missed out on concrete targets such as Dominik Livakovic, while links with others such as Bundesliga shotstoppers Koen Casteels and Timo Horn have gone cold.

Nevertheless, they may find a successor from within Serie A. As per La Nazione (via ViolaNews), Hellas Verona’s Lorenzo Montipò could man the posts at the Franchi from next season onwards as Fiorentina look to utilize their good relationship with the northern outfit.

Montipò is contracted with Verona until the summer of 2025, and the Italy U21 international is reportedly ready to take the next step in his career.

Both teams are said to maintain a cordial rapport, which may ultimately fall in favor of the Viola in their hunt for a new goalkeeper. They will have the shell nothing less than €8M to sign the Novara youth product.

Premier League sides Bournemouth and Leicester City have also been reportedly interested in Montipò.
