Fiorentina Exec Talks Milenkovic and Their Transfer Market

Fiorentina director Daniele Pradè took stock of their transfer market during the unveiling of Rolando Mandragora.

“Lucas Torreira gave us a lot technically speaking. We thought he would stay long term, but his agent turned down our proposal and that changed our relation. Sofyan Amrabat finished the season strong and we went with him. We are in still discussing the Luka Jovic deal, and we will assess it when it will be concluded. The same goes for Dodo. We like them both, but we do not know when they will arrive.”

The exec said that they were not interested in Dennis Praet and Barcelona’s Riqui Puig.

“There are no ongoing talks to sign them. I know the agents of the former, he is an excellent player but he is not for us. We have never considered the latter. We are not pursuing Nedim Bajrami and Andrea Belotti either. Florian Grillitsch could have been a bargain, but we were not comfortable with some aspects.”

Pradè stated that Nikola Milenkovic could leave Fiorentina during the summer transfer market window.

“He has been here for five years, and he stuck with us last season out of affection for the club despite an important offer from the Premier league. He is pleased with the European Conference League qualification. However, if a top team comes calling, it is hard to say no. We have a strong bond with him and we will decide together. Eventually, we would replace him properly.”

The director stated that Pierluigi Gollini is about to join.

“We hope to have him here with us soon. The negotiation is nearing its completion. We tracked a few options and we shared the choice with the coaching staff. We are trying to find a good solution for Barlomiej Dragowski too.”
