Fiorentina plan to bolster their frontline with at least one new addition, as Arthur Cabral is the only one among their current strikers primed to stay. They will likely move on from Krzysztof Piatek, who is on loan from Hertha Berlin with a sizeable option to buy. Aleksandar Kokorin could be outright released soon.
As per La Nazione (via Tuttomercatoweb), the Viola have three names atop their shortlist. Luka Jovic intrigues them, but his wages are very rich. Real Madrid would have to agree to another loan, plus significantly contribute to paying his salary. Still, his agent is Fali Ramadami, who also represents Vincenzo Italiano and Nikola Milenkovic. Therefore, an agreement is possible.
Fiorentina are tracking Borja Mayoral and Andrea Belotti too as far as strikers are concerned. The former will be back at the Casa Blanca following two temporary stints at Roma and Getafe. The Azzurri forward will depart Torino on a free. A real frontrunner has yet to emerge for him. The Gigliati like Andrea Pinamonti, but his price tag is pretty high.
As for the other negotiations, the Viola did not strike an agreement with the entourage of Florian Grillitsch, Sky reports. The Austrian remains the top candidate to replace Lucas Torreira, though. Dodo is the closest target for the right flank. Director Darijo Srna is spending time in Italy to negotiate.
Our Take on Fiorentina Hunting for Strikers
The Viola have missed out on a pretty good opportunity by letting Augustin Alvarez join Sassuolo. Arthur Cabral has shown just flashes since his move, and he is bound to be better following a natural adaptation period. The other names are okay but not really exciting. It could be a nice spot for Belotti, who probably will not receive offers from bigger teams.
