Dragowski has not returned on goal after a severe injury and the coach did not select him even in the recent Coppa Italia tilt between Fiorentina and Atalanta. His agent Mariusz Kulesza was very critical of the decision to Firenzeviola.it: “Things have to change soon. He is too good to stay on the bench and needs to play to get back into shape. That is the only way he could improve. He was not demoted because of his performances. Every team in the world would field their no.1 goalkeeper to allow him to recover after a physical problem.”
Instead, that has not been the case. The turn of events has completely derailed the extension talks between Dragowski and Fiorentina. He drew interest from abroad in previous windows. The Viola are pondering what route to take next. They could either hand the reins to Terracciano permanently, with a youngster backing him up, or look for a new top option.
