Brazilian defender Igor could potentially swap Fiorentina for Juventus in the winter. It seems to be a never-ending theme with Fiorentina: bring in some top-quality talent, have them around for two to three years, then allow them to leave for rivals Juventus. It feels like this loop will continue until eternity.
With that in mind, it comes as no surprise to anyone that the Old Lady is once again interested in one of the Viola’s talents. This time, Brazilian center-back Igor is the name that comes up. The 24-year-old Brazilian in his third full season with the Florence-based side having joined initially on loan from SPAL.
With Juve’s sluggish start to the season, Max Allegri has to think ahead as to how to fix the situation. Adding another member to the back-line would be one way to go.
While a move away from Fiorentina might not be the worst thing in the world for Igor, jumping ship to a team that is in such disarray as Juventus could prove to be troublesome. Certainly staying until at least the end of the season may be a better choice.
