Negotiations between Fiorentina and Empoli over Fabiano Parisi’s switch to Artemio Franchi are gathering momentum. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Vincenzo Italiano’s men have submitted a €12 million offer to anticipate any potential move from Milan.
La Viola’s interest in the 22-year-old left-back first surfaced in the final days of the last summer transfer window. But they couldn’t strike a swift agreement with their fellow Tuscan rivals due to a tight timeframe. With the entire summer ahead this time around, Fiorentina could succeed where they failed a year ago.
Empoli’s asking price remains the same. Gli Azzurri asked for €15m last summer. And they won’t let Parisi leave for less now, especially after the defender’s eye-catching exploits in 2022/23.
