Fiorentina Plot Summer Move for Outgoing Juventus Striker

In addition to pursuing the signature of Galatasaray’s wantaway ace Nicolo Zaniolo, Fiorentina consider a summer swoop for Juventus castaway Moise Kean. According to Alfredo Pedulla, new manager Raffaele Palladino has earmarked the ex-Everton flop as his prime objective to reinforce his faltering frontline.

Juventus manager Thiago Motta has put Kean on the chopping block. As the 24-year-old’s contract runs out in 2025, the record-time Serie A champions are desperate to offload him in the coming months. Despite the Italian’s underwhelming second stint in Turin, he’s still a wanted property.

Fiorentina could offer him a lifeline in his homeland, as Palladino wanted to sign him during his charge of Monza last January. While he couldn’t lure him to Stadio Brianteo during the winter, the climate has changed. Kean is now up for sale, with Fiorentina primed to take him to Tuscany in a cut-price deal.

Kean’s return to Juventus in 2021 cost the club around €35 million. However, his abysmal form, recurring injury problems, and an expiring contract mean Fiorentina can agree on his transfer with the Bianconeri for pennies on the dollar. The same goes for Zaniolo, who’s hellbent on moving back to Italy.

Though Fiorentina would need to beat Atalanta to his signature, Palladino’s men have already put the wheels in motion. They’ve reportedly found common ground with the player’s entourage. Next on the agenda is to present a satisfying offer to Galatasaray. Reports say Fiorentina won’t go beyond €15m to close the deal.
