Fiorentina Expected to Make Final Attempt at Vlahovic Renewal

Fiorentina’s intention to renew Serbian talent Dusan Vlahovic contract in Florence is unlikely to witness positive results anytime soon as La Viola look to make one last effort to get him to extend his contractual terms.

TGR Rai Toscana (via Football-Italia) reports that President Rocco Commisso is expected hold one last negotiation with Vlahovic and his entourage before abandoning renewal talks, with his contract expiring in June 2023.

The player has turned down repeated offers from the club amid increased interest from European heavyweights including Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Juventus.

According to transfermarkt, he has a market value of €40m but Fiorentina are not willing to entertain anything less than €75-80m.

It is also known that his agents are expecting to pocket upwards of €10m from the deal with the inclusion of exclusive rights to negotiate a future sale, a 10% commission and a €5m sale fee as well, something Commisso wants to defer and make it known to the player.

Reports have emerged from Italian outlet La Nazione of Fiorentina’s interest in securing the signing of Roma outcast Borja Mayoral, who has seen his playing time diminish under the tutelage of new manager Jose Mourinho, as a direct replacement for Dusan Vlahovic.
