Fiorentina Pursuing Genoa, Inter, and Roma Forwards

Fiorentina wishes to end their January with a major acquisition and have inquired about a few talented wingers. They reached out to Genoa and Inter for Albert Gudmundsson and Valentin Carboni, who’s on loan at Monza. They were repelled despite sizeable offers, Gianluca Di Marzio relays.

The Viola put €20M on the table in both cases. The Grifone don’t need to sell after cashing in on Radu Dragusin. They don’t want to part ways with their best player. Instead, the Nerazzurri consider their talent untouchable and want him to finish the season in Brianza to grow.

Afterward, Fiorentina turned their attention toward Atlanta United’s Thiago Almada. His side set a €25M valuation, which is too high in their opinion. He has been highly productive since joining from Velez Sarsfield, recording 20 goals and 23 assists in 66 appearances. He has four caps with the Albiceleste. The attacker would like to make the jump to Europe this summer.

On top of eyeing some pacey players, the Gigliati are tracking Andrea Belotti. He’d prefer to stay in Italy if he left Roma and is declining foreign destinations. The Viola need to find a new home for M’Bala Nzola first.

Our Take on Fiorentina

They are finally showing some urgency, as they desperately need somebody prolific opposite Nicolas Gonzalez to properly bolster their frontline. He’s not a pure winger, but if they want to add some talent, they could easily sign Tommaso Baldanzi with that kind of bid.
