Fiorentina Reach Agreement for Real Madrid Pariah Jovic

Fiorentina are inching ever-closer to luring Real Madrid outcast Luka Jovic, who is certainly not included in coach Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for the 2022/23 season. Negotiations have been held over the past few weeks and it is understood that talks have been positive regarding the transfer that is expected to be closed within this week.

According to Italian transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, it will a loan deal executed between the two clubs, with Los Blancos taking up the responsibility of fulfilling half of the Serbian’s salary. The seasonal spell will last until the summer of 2023 as an agreement in principle has been struck between the two parties.

La Viola‘s demands of Madrid paying half the striker’s wages have been met, meaning that the duo will share his €6M net-per-season salary. However, it is going to be a simple loan, therefore Fiorentina will not have an obligation or an option to buy Jovic next summer.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt marksman is expected to fly into Florence next week to complete his medical examination and sign his contract. He will join fellow Serbs Nikola Milenkovic, Aleksa Terzic and Matija Nastasic. The 24-year-old has failed to click in the royal white jersey, scoring just 3 goals in 51 caps throughout three seasons.
