Fiorentina winger Riccardo Sottil could soon be leaving amid the club’s heightened transfer market business. But it is not only Serie A clubs such as Monza which are interested in the 24-year-old, as he draws attention from the Premier League and the Bundesliga.
As per Tuttomercatoweb, Brentford and Eintracht Frankfurt have enquired Fiorentina regarding the availability of Sottil, who still has three more years left on his contract in Firenze. Monza also expressed interest in the winger at the start of the transfer window.

Sottil, who was once scouted by Tottenham Hotspur reps, has suffered from the lack of consistency in recent years due to fitness issues. He appeared just 18 times for Fiorentina last campaign, scoring one goal in the process, after missing large parts of the season with a back injury.

The fact that his current predicament is still unknown makes it somewhat of a surprise surrounding the inquiries made for his services. Vincenzo Italiano is unlikely to utilize Sottil to the best of his abilities in the coming season, but only time will tell if the ex-Italy U21 international can return to his best, at Fiorentina or otherwise.
