Fiorentina Striker Kouame on Dreams, Idols, Serie A and Italiano

Fiorentina striker Christian Kouame has given a long interview to DAZN (via ViolaNews) regarding a number of interesting topics – as he shared details about his dreams, idols growing up, Fiorentina’s biggest strengths and also the qualities of Vincenzo Italiano.

“I have to improve a lot in front of goal. Better quality? Attack at depth. Running is also one of my best qualities. I like doing it because it makes me feel good. I’m at Fiorentina to give my best. Another dream I have is to go. to win the African Cup with the Ivory Coast,” he said.

When quizzed about his idol, Kouame didn’t take long to answer.

“Messi is football. You just have to look at him and compliment him. My idol is Drogba. Another one I always liked is Benzema. Before he didn’t score a lot, but he did play well. Now he scores. He’s more than a number 9, the strongest in the world at the moment.”

He also shed light on the best player in Serie A and in Fiorentina.

“The strongest player in Serie A? Leao. Last year he was devastating. In Fiorentina, it is Bonaventura, because technically he is very strong. We also joke a lot together. He is number one in everything. He is also the funniest in the locker room.”

Finally, he took stock of coach Italiano.

“Italiano gives us something special. His desire to overdo it, to prove his worth. He is someone who works hard. You often see him angry because when he sees something wrong he takes it out on everyone. There are few like him.”

The Ivory Coast international has had a decent start to the new campaign – scoring 3 and assisting 4 in 14 games for the Viola.
