Five Players Who Are On Inter’s Transfer Market Radar

Inter had a fine finish to the Serie A season. With just one loss after the post-coronavirus restart, Antonio Conte’s squad managed to take the title race right down to the wire.

They won their final three games of the league season to finish just a point behind champions Juventus, and after Maurizio Sarri’s sacking, The Nerazzurri will be full of optimism going into the 2020-21 campaign.

Regardless of what would be the future of coach Antonio Conte, Inter are already scouring the market, and they’ll no doubt be recruiting from the Premier League again – so here are five overseas players that rumored to be on their radar:

Anthony Martial

The Manchester United man has been linked with Inter, as part of a swap deal involving defender Milan Skriniar. It could be yet another United name heading for the Nerazzurri and alongside the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, it would surely make for a title-contending attack next season.

Nikola Milenkovic

Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic has established himself as one of the best young defenders in Serie A. Last season he featured in all but one of Fiorentina’s league matches and managed a commendable five goals from the back.

Inter are rumored to be in the market for a center-back this summer and the 22-year-old could make for the perfect fit, but again it’s Skriniar at the heart of the deal – Inter’s purchase of Milenkovic is reportedly dependent on Skriniar’s sale.

Sergio Aguero

It’s Skriniar again involved in this rumored signing – Manchester City are said to be keen on the defender, and in exhange, Inter want Aguero.

Sergio Aguero, now 32, has spent much of the second half of the season on the sidelines. He still managed 16 goals last season but with Gabriel Jesus coming in, it looks as though the Argentinian’s time at City is slowly drawing to an end.

Tanguy Ndombele

The Spurs man hasn’t enjoyed his maiden season in England – he featured 21 times in the Premier League and scored twice, but manager José Mourinho is said to be uninterested in the Frenchman.

Inter are said to have been targeting Ndombele for some time and yet again, his potential move to Inter could involve Skriniar going the other way.

Chris Smalling

Chris Smalling surprised everyone when he joined Roma on a season-long loan last summer, and he surprised even more when he proved to be one of Roma’s best assets.

He featured 30 times in Serie A and managed three goals for the Rome club, and now Inter are looking at yet another United man. His status at Old Trafford is unknown, but given the right price, Smalling would surely be open to an Italian return after a fruitful account last season.
