Florenzi Ready to Contribute for Milan amid Fullback Issues

Alessandro Florenzi has taken advantage of the third break to complete his rehab from knee surgery. He could have a meaningful role in the upcoming stretch of games. Davide Calabria picked up a calf strain while playing with Italy and will miss a couple of weeks. Fode Ballo-Touré sustained a muscular problem in Senegal and will be assessed after his return.

Florenzi addressed his move to Milan in an interview on the Skrill website: “I found a very organized club. I have always been treated well in my various stops over the years, and that is the case here too. The group is very tight. The Rossoneri simply wanted me the most last summer.”

“I have been fortunate to meet a legend like Paolo Maldini. He has the same aura as Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi at Roma. I think that they are untouchable figures for what they have given not only to their sides but to Italian football in general.”

Florenzi looked back at the Euro: “Winning something with your national team is an indescribable emotion. We spent 50 days together where we were more than teammates. We built a family. It was not easy, especially for me, but we worked in unison to realize our dream.”

Florenzi concluded by detailing their ambitions for this season: “The history of Milan is filled with victories. We wish to honor it and start writing a new chapter, bringing the Rossoneri back where they deserve. I am ready to play in any position to help achieve that.”
