Fresh Contacts Between Roma and Fulham for Kluivert

New contacts have taken place between Roma and Fulham for the sale of Dutch winger Justin Kluivert, who has failed to impress the Giallorossi management following two unsuccessful loan spells – at RB Leipzig and Nice respectively. He is not in manager José Mourinho’s plans moving forward into the new season.

As per Sky transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio (via RomaPress.net), Roma are focused on offloading the 23-year-old Dutchman, who is also understood to be in favor of joining Fulham. Earlier, the Cottagers had proposed to onboard Kluivert on loan with an option to buy, but negotiations didn’t forward thereafter. That has changed as of late, but the new terms are not yet known.

Kluivert is in his final year of contract with the Giallorossi and knows it makes no sense to stay put in the Italian capital. The Cottagers’ advances have piqued the youngster’s interest in experiencing Premier League football at such a young age. While Fulham want Kluivert on loan, Roma insist on making his move permanent. Turkish giants Trabzonspor have also taken an interest in the winger’s future.
