Frosinone Confirm Growing Interest in Juventus Prodigy

Frosinone exec Guido Angelozzi expressed his belief that Matias Soulé would finish the season with them but didn’t sound as confident as in previous statements and corroborated the chatter about the interest in him from abroad. He chatted with Mediaset (via Ansa).

“I think he will become a top player, then I don’t know whether it’ll be at Juventus or in other sides. Many English clubs come to watch him every week. We have an excellent relationship with the Bianconeri, but we haven’t been in touch lately. We’re trying to do the best we can with their youngsters, which helps the team that owns them too. They have important execs that know what to do.”

Angelozzi was quizzed whether Soulé would stay in January.

“I think so. He’s a Frosinone player currently.”

According to Calciomercato, Juventus are fielding offers for their talents and could monetize one or two of them. Samuel Iling-Junior is the top candidate and, between Soulé and Kenan Yildiz, they might prefer keeping the latter.

On top of Crystal Palace, Southampton are keen and have opened talks, but they play in the Championship, which is a disadvantage. The Bianconeri will contemplate offers close to €30M.

Our Take on Juventus and Soulé

While he’d be an awkward fit tactically at the moment and they could use the fresh money, schemes and coaches can always change. If they sell him, he’ll easily wind up among their regrets, like for instance Kingsley Coman back in the day, even though that windfall would have its benefits.
