Fulham Threaten Manchester United for Fiorentina Ace

Sofyan Amrabat will be one of the protagonists on deadline day, as Fiorentina are looking to sell him but are holding firm on their demands. The Moroccan star has long been rumored to join Manchester United, but other Premier League sides are chasing after him with more vigor.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the midfielder turned down a proposal from Nottingham Forest. Afterward, Fulham put €30M on the table, which would meet the Viola’s request.

On the other hand, Amrabat won’t accept a different destination until he realizes he can’t join the Red Devils. They have tendered a loan with an option to buy due to Financial Fair Play restrictions. The Gigliati earmarked Napoli’s Diego Demme as a replacement.

Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso commented Thursday night.

“I can’t say what will happen, because I don’t know either. He wants to go and we’ll try to comply with his request. However, he has two years on his contract. If he doesn’t leave, he’ll stay with us and play. There are many ongoing negotiations.”

Our Take on Amrabat

If Fiorentina received sizeable offers, they are unlikely to settle. Still, despite their stiff postures, they tend to get pragmatic when push comes to shove. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to keep somebody unhappy, especially a linchpin.
