On the other hand, Amrabat won’t accept a different destination until he realizes he can’t join the Red Devils. They have tendered a loan with an option to buy due to Financial Fair Play restrictions. The Gigliati earmarked Napoli’s Diego Demme as a replacement.

Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso commented Thursday night.
“I can’t say what will happen, because I don’t know either. He wants to go and we’ll try to comply with his request. However, he has two years on his contract. If he doesn’t leave, he’ll stay with us and play. There are many ongoing negotiations.”

If Fiorentina received sizeable offers, they are unlikely to settle. Still, despite their stiff postures, they tend to get pragmatic when push comes to shove. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to keep somebody unhappy, especially a linchpin.
