Sampdoria striker Manolo Gabbiadini is on the verge of joining Dubai outfit Al-Nasr. Gabbiadini will become the United Arab Emirates club’s second signing from Italy following the acquisition of Kevin Agudelo from Spezia Calcio.
A three-year contract at €3M net per season has been tabled by Al-Nasr to secure the services of Gabbiadini on a permanent transfer. The ex-Southampton striker is expected to undergo medical examinations in Dubai in the coming days before signing the long-term contract.

Several outfits from Europe, including ones from Turkey and Greece, were in the race to lure Gabbiadini from Sampdoria, as per Tuttomercatoweb. However, he preferred to transfer to Al-Nasr instead.
His departure would end a second chapter at Sampdoria, where he also spent two years between 2013 and 2015. Gabbiadini scored 52 goals in 177 appearances for the Blucerchiati across the two spells.
He ends his Serie A adventure with 69 goals and 25 assists in 278 appearances. Without Gabbiadini, Andrea Pirlo’s Sampdoria will now rely on Daniele Montevago and Manuel De Luca as the main strikers upfront.
