Galatasaray and More Serie A Sides Set Sights on Rugani

Empoli aren’t the only ones eyeing Daniele Rugani, as Sampdoria and Verona also asked Juventus to have him on loan. Instead, Galatasaray have made an offer to acquire him outright. The Bianconeri prefer such solution, Alfredo Pedullà informs.

The management reportedly hurried the defender to make the call within a couple of days. The Tuscan side, where he began his career, wants him back, but they would pay just a fraction of his €3M salary. Instead, the Blucerchiati would contribute to half of it. They are currently the frontrunners as far as Italian teams are concerned. They have been linked to Milan’s Matteo Gabbia, but such move would materialize only late in the window.

Still, Juventus would rather Rugani joined Galatasaray to get some cash and spare any cost next season. At that point, they would concretely target Nikola Milenkovic. They haven’t tracked any other defender after snaring Gleison Bremer.

Fiorentina wants the Serbian center-back to decide soon as well. They wish to eventually have time to look for a proper replacement. Inter aren’t serious competitors at the moment. Tottenham and further foreign clubs are keeping tabs on him.

Our Take on Rugani Potentially Leaving Juventus

It would be an unexpected bonanza for the Bianconeri, both technically, as they would sign a better player, either Milenkovic or somebody else, and economically if he accepted to join Galatasaray. Still, the €10M fee floating around would be ludicrous, and it’s most likely far from reality. Should he leave, they should consider going for a young right-back and move Danilo to the middle to have more offensive punch on the flank.
