Rudi Garcia is busy scouring the transfer market to reinforce his Napoli squad. The central midfield area is of great interest for the Partenopei to bolster, and with the uncertain futures of Diego Demme and Piotr Zielinski, Napoli are keeping close tabs on Hertha Berlin midfield ace Lucas Tousart.
According to Il Mattino, Tousart is a concrete target for Napoli, who wish to include Demme in a straight swap deal. Rudi Garcia is the main reason why Napoli are eyeing Tousart, with the former Al-Nassr coach having trained the 26-year-old at Olympique Lyonnais for one season, before he moved to Berlin.
Despite Hertha falling into the second-tier, Tousart is still held in high regard, as he finished the season with six goals and three assists in 34 appearances.
SSC Neapel, very interested in Lucas #Tousart! Rudi Garcia has a very good opinion about him. Talks and ideas about a swap deal with #Demme + additional payments.

Garcia is expected to use a familiar 4-3-3 system, and Tousart’s versatility makes him apt to function anywhere in the three-man line. Tousart is worth €9M, according to transfermarkt, but the inclusion of Demme in the deal would significantly lower the asking price.
Teun Koopmeiners, Gabri Veiga, Lazar Samardzic and Rodri Sanchez are the other targets in Napoli’s crosshairs, but Tousart remains a top priority for Garcia.
