Gasperini Warns Serie A Hopefuls of Inter and Juve Danger

Atalanta cruised to a 2-1 win over Sassuolo last matchday, maintaining their perfect undefeated start to the Serie A season – alongside league leaders Napoli, as one of the two sides yet to taste a loss this campaign.

However, coach Gian Piero Gasperini is aware of the competency other top dogs behind in the league race possess, especially Derby d’Italia rivals Inter and Juventus – with both teams not having the best of starts.

Speaking to the microphones of Radio Anch’io Lo Sport (via FCInterNews), the veteran manager took stock of the Bianconeri and the Nerazzurri, warning the other teams that they will bounce back sooner rather than later.

“Having won the derby is a good sign for the Bianconeri. I am convinced that both Juve and Inter will soon return to the fight for the best positions in the league.”

The second placed Bergamo outfit face Lazio next in the league, as two of the league’s best defences go head-to-head against each other at the Gewiss Arena with only three points separating them.
