Genoa Among Clubs Interested in Miranchuk Signature

Genoa are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Atalanta attacker Aleksei Miranchuk.

According to CalciomercatoLa Dea are looking to sell the Russia international in January after he hasn’t been able to find a regular place for himself in Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad. A number of clubs are interested in signing Miranchuk and they include Genoa.

The 26-year-old, who is currently valued at €13.5m according to Transfermarkt, joined Atalanta from Lokomotiv Moscow last summer and has started sporadically for them so far. This season, Miranchuk has featured in only nine matches across all competitions, providing an assist in their Champions League fixture against Villarreal.

The Russian has made only two starts this season and given the attacking quality Atalanta have, it seems very unlikely that he will receive a healthy amount of game time. Miranchuk could very much do with a move away from Bergamo and at Genoa, he would be a regular under Andriy Shevchenko.
