Genoa youth product Andrea Cambiaso is the subject of heightened interest from top Italian clubs as the end of the season approaches. The Italy U21 international has propelled into one of Serie A’s best performers on the left flank with his consistent displays attracting the sights of not only Juventus, but also Inter, Napoli and Atalanta.
Il Mattino (via TuttoJuve) reports that Il Grifone have established an asking price for their prized asset. The transfer figure demanded by Genoa lies around the €15m mark.
Of all the interested suitors, Juventus look keen on bolstering their wingback ranks, mainly due to the underwhelming performances of Alex Sandro this campaign. Apart from the Bianconeri, Inter have also kept close tabs on the 22-year-old, who prepare for life after the departure of Ivan Perisic.
Calciomercato also relay information about Napoli’s serious interest in the class of 2000, but indicate Milan’s presence in the race for his signature.
Genoa are prepared to lose Cambiaso ahead of the 2022/23 season, when they will likely be contesting in Serie B after an uninspiring campaign in the top-tier. His contract with the Ligurians expires in the summer of 2023.
The young defender is playing his debut season in the top flight after being loaned out to Albissola and Savona in Serie D, before undertaking spells at Alessandria in Serie C in 2019/20 and Empoli in Serie B last season.
