Genoa vs Inter Player Ratings: Inzaghi’s Side Hit Brick Wall Yet Again

Despite Milan drawing 1-1 at the San Siro against Udinese, Inter have failed yet again to capitalize on their opportunity to overtake the Rossoneri in a disappointing 0-0 draw against Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The Inter skipper made some brilliant saves in order to keep his side alive within this fixture and secure the clean-sheet.

The Italian defender made some brilliant tackles and some precise passes when building out of the back.

Stefan De Vrij-7

The Dutch centre-back demonstrated bravery at its finest as he made some astounding challenges in order to secure a point away from home. He was tactically aware and made some fine passes when constructing out of the back.

Danilo D’Ambrosio-5

It was a difficult evening for the Italian veteran as he made some sloppy passes and he struggled to cope with Genoa’s pace along the flanks. In addition, he failed to find the back of the net from a brilliant corner as his attempt hit the frame of the goal.

The Dutch full-back made some impressive runs along the flanks and performed some great  defending when tracking back.

Marcelo Brozovic-6

The Croatian midfielder had a rough first half as he was unable to maintain control within the midfield. However, he brought stability within the second half through his tackling skills and his brilliant passing ability.

The Italian midfielder played a decent, but lacked his usual creativity and flair that brings to the table.

It was a poor performance from the veteran marksman as he missed on several occasions and had some poor touches on the ball.

The Swiss full-back made some impressive runs out-wide, but had a hard time dealing with Perisic along the flanks.

The holding midfielder was heavily involved on the front-run through his incisive passing and made some impressive challenges in the central area of the pitch.

The Italian midfielder orchestrated Genoa’s play within the final third through his impressive dribbling skills and peripheral vision.

The 21 year-old Italian winger caused a lot of trouble towards the beginning of the game as he applied pressure and got several goal-scoring occasions. He was handful for the defence to handle through his pace and technical ability.
