Former Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino believes that Dusan Vlahovic is ready to join a top club.
The Serb has established himself as one of the best strikers in Serie A through his impressive performances since the start of last season. Vlahovic’s rise has seen him attract attention from a number of top clubs in Europe, and Gilardino is of the opinion that he is ready to join one of them.
Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the World Cup winner said: “He is a modern centre forward. He moves a lot, he holds the ball and he can shoot with both feet. You can understand that he is ready to join a top club, he always gives his all and that’s one thing to highlight, although it is difficult to discuss his contract situation.”
Lately, Vlahovic has attracted interest from Juventus and Tottenham. Fiorentina value the 21-year-old at €75m and would not be willing to sell him unless they receive that sum.
Vlahovic has started this season brilliantly, scoring ten goals and providing two assists in 13 matches across all competitions so far. After helping Serbia to qualify for next year’s World Cup, the striker will be looking to shine for Fiorentina in what will be a very tough fixture against Milan on Saturday.
