Giroud Admits Being Undecided About His Milan Future

Olivier Giroud is satisfied with how his season is going and confessed that he has yet to decide what to do in the future, as his Milan contract runs out on June 30th. He chatted with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“You can improve all the time. It’s a matter of will. I have always looked to assist my teammates. I think it’s a good example for the youngsters. You never stop growing, especially if you are where you want to be. I feel good here and received a dreamy welcome.”

“I have a great relationship with Stefano Pioli and his staff. We spoke during the recent storm and always provided my support. I have been through that too. We trust each other. He knows I give my best for him and the team.”

Despite that, Giroud might depart Milan at the end of the campaign.

“I don’t know what will happen in the future. I’m comfortable here and have done great things with this club. It’s a true love story. We haven’t really tackled the renewal with the management. We’ll see and choose later on. The most important thing is to stay focused on the collective objectives.”

“The MLS? There are also other countries. There’ll be more opportunities down the line. I’ll make the call as a footballer and a father. It wouldn’t be a problem if the team signed a young center-forward, because I’m not scared of the competition. It has always provided extra motivation.”
