Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta Takes Jab at Juventus and Fabio Paratici

Giuseppe Marotta confirmed his intention to stay at Inter and threw some shade at Juventus and his former colleague Fabio Paratici. “I do not feel like the Scudetto is a revenge against the Bianconeri, but rather a dream come true,” he told Tuttosport in an interview. “I guess it will be gratifying to return to Turin on May 15th to decide their faith in the Champions League race. This is the best part of the sport.”

“My time in Turin gave me a lot, besides the bittersweet departure. I have maintained a good relationship with everybody except for Paratici, but it is more of a personal matter than a professional one. I am a manager and I am accustomed to accepting the choices of the team I work for. That is is what happened in September of 2018, even though honestly I did not see it coming.”

Marotta reiterated that he will not return at Juventus despite some buzz about it: “I can rule it out, I never considered coming back, nor I received any request from them. I am exclusively focused on Inter. I want to open a long and successful cycle with Antonio Conte. He is a guarantee and he conveyed his winning mentality to the squad. This is his fifth title in ten years. He is the best.”

After clinching the title, the gaffer said that they will give some playing time to the less utilized players. However, the Nerazzurri have circled the clash with Juventus on their calendar after the heated exchange between their coach and Andrea Agnelli in February’s Coppa Italia match, Corriere dello Sport reports.
