Giuseppe Meazza Sold Out for Derby d’Italia, Italian Media Report

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sunday evening’s Derby d’Italia clash between Inter and Juventus will be the most attended match of the season so far at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Although the Italian government has not allowed stadiums to operate in full capacity, 75% of San Siro will be fully occupied.

Reportedly, there are 56,000 available seats for the match, out of the staggering 80,000 seats in the venue, and all of them will be occupied for one of the showdown events of the Serie A season so far. This is said to be the first time since February 2020 that all available tickets have been sold out.

Around 5 million euros have been recuperated from ticket sales.

With both teams coming into the clash having started their respective seasons in contrasting form, it is of little surprise how much anticipation is in the air for one of the derbies of the season.

Inter sit third in league standings with 17 points, three ahead of seventh placed Juventus.
