Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos knows what awaits his side at the Stadio Meazza, as Inter prepare to welcome Benfica for the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg. Inter beat Porto in the last round, whereas Benfica overcame Belgian powerhouse Club Brugge.
The Portuguese sensation does not wish to anticipate the semi-final, knowing very well that only a positive result in Milan will enhance his side’s chance at progression.
Speaking to Sky Sport (via FCInterNews), Ramos warned his outfit of complacency ahead of their visit to Italy.
“Any team that reaches the quarter-finals is very dangerous, Inter have great quality and not just in their attacking players.”
The winner of the tie will meet wither Milan or Napoli in the semis, but Ramos does not want to count his chickens before they hatch.
“We’ll have to be very careful. In the semi-final with Leao or Mario Rui? I have no preferences, first we have to face the Inter then we’ll see.”
This will be only the fourth meeting between Inter and Benfica in European competition – the first since the 2003/04 UEFA Cup last 16.
