Graziano Pellè Linked to Two Top Serie A Teams and West Ham

Graziano Pellè is looking for a new team as his contract with Shandong Luneng expires today and his agent recently offered him to Juventus, Inter and West Ham, Tuttomercatoweb and Goal.com reports. The 35-year-old forward wants to return to Europe after four and a half seasons in China and his representatives are shopping his services.

Both Inter and Juventus are searching for a physical back-up striker: the Nerazzurri are reportedly lukewarm at best on Pellè, while the Old Lady will keep him on the back-burner while they inquire about options. Fernando Llorente remains the ideal one, but he will not be freed up by Napoli until January 20th’s Supercup between the two clubs. The Bianconeri have instead ruled out going after the recently released Diego Costa, according to Goal.com, because they prefer somebody who would be more comfortable seeing limited minutes.

Pellè has not played in Italy since 2012 and has never be given a proper chance in Serie A. He had more success in Eredivisie with Feyenoord and in Premier League with Southampton and therefore West Ham represent a credible contender. He has scored 64 goals in 132 appearances with Shandong Luneng.

Our view

It is another situation driven by the agents: while Pellè is not currently high on the list for the Serie A clubs, he could become a real and fairly cheap option later on if they do not manage to close the deal for their preferred targets, considering that he is free agent.
