Italy hero Fabio Grosso led Frosinone to a historic Serie B title win in 2022/23, beating Genoa by 7 points to the second-tier championship win. While many were expecting Grosso to stay put with the Canarini, he has communicated to the club management that it will not be the case going forward.

As per Sportitalia (via Calciomercato), three names have been shortlisted to take over the Frosinone dugout – Parma’s Fabio Pecchia, ex-Sampdoria manager Roberto D’Aversa and former Hellas Verona veteran Eusebio Di Francesco.

Meanwhile, Grosso is searching for an entirely new and different challenging managerial experience. French outfit Olympique de Marseille reportedly made Grosso a strong target to replace departing Igor Tudor, but Argentine tactician Marcelo Gallardo remains OM’s number one contender.

It looks likely that Grosso will spend another year in Serie B, with Parma and newly-relegated Sampdoria interested in his services. The 2006 World Cup winner led Frosinone to Serie A promotion for the first time in four years, with the club having made their top-flight debut in 2015/16.
