Hellas Verona to Onboard Two Attackers on Bosman Deals

Having onboarded Marco Baroni as the head coach, Hellas Verona are looking to emerge anew in 2023/24, leaving behind the demons of their past after having narrowly escaped relegation last campaign. Two new players are expected to join the Gialloblu within the next week or so in a bid to strengthen the squad.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina attacking midfielder Riccardo Saponara and Empoli striker Mattia Destro are both free agents now, and Verona are close to signing them on Bosman deals.

Negotiations for the duo are reportedly in advanced stages, with both the Viola and Azzurri failing to keep hold of their prized players by struggling to offer them contract renewals.

Over 30, both Saponara and Destro will bring a plethora of experience to a Verona outfit with an average age of 25.6. Despite possessing the likes of youngsters like Cyril Ngonge, Filippo Terracciano, and Jayden Braaf, Verona see adding players with experience as the way forward.
