Hertha Berlin have laid eyes on Diego Demme and suggested a trade with Lucas Tousart, who’s already familiar with new Napoli coach Rudi Garcia. The Azzurri backup could leave as Stanislav Lobotka completely outshined him in the past season. He logged just 7 appearances for a total of 143 minutes.
Per Corriere dello Sport, the regista is drawing interest from Eintracht Frankfurt too. Though, the talks with Die Alte Dame have progressed more. Their relegation isn’t a major hindrance. The 31-year-old had spent the entirety of his career in Germany, primarily at RB Leipzig. The Partenopei scooped him up for €10M in 2020.
Napoli would have to add some money for the swap between Demme and Tousart to move forward, which doesn’t seem to entice them, Gianluca Di Marzio reports. The Frenchman has a higher valuation. Garcia managed the French midfielder for a campaign with Les Gones. He’d be happy to reunite with him. The Azzurri will have to add one or more pieces since they didn’t keep Tanguy Ndombélé and Piotr Zielinski’s future is uncertain.

The German will most likely bolt after a very tough season on a personal level, but his sale won’t fetch much considering his age. The Scudetto holders would need to throw in a healthy sum for a player they haven’t identified directly, and that would address their needs only numerically speaking and not technically. It’s unlikely to happen.
