Lazio icon Ciro Immobile has reportedly reached out to Italy teammate Domenico Berardi to understand where things stand with regards to his future. Berardi has long been linked with a Neroverdi exit, and Maurizio Sarri’s Biancocelesti have emerged as concrete suitors in recent weeks, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
Sassuolo’s CEO Carnevali fires back at Lotito regarding Berardi 👀
“It’s not true that Berardi ripped up a Juventus contract.
Last year almost every big team asked for Domenico except Juventus.
Lotito’s words aren’t true and aren’t elegant.”

As per Il Messaggero journalist Alberto Abbate, the duo were in contact as recently as yesterday, with Immobile perhaps eager to hear Berardi’s opinion of Lazio. Abbate spoke to Radio Sei (via SassuoloNews) to reveal the background of the potential conversation between the EURO 2020-winning duo.
“Berardi was contacted by Immobile last night to understand the status of the negotiation. The Sassuolo player’s willingness to come to Lazio is there and Ciro is taking an interest in market issues, to understand where Berardi stands with regards to Lazio.”
Milan and Napoli have also been linked with Berardi, but so far, there has been radio silence from the player’s end. Before the end of the 2022/23 season, Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali revealed Berardi denied moves to Inter and Juventus to stay in Emilia-Romagna.
