Insigne Agent Addresses Extension Talks and Recent Injury

Vincenzo Pisacane, the agent of Lorenzo Insigne, commented on the ongoing negotiation with the team: “There are no new developments. We received an offer that we deemed unacceptable and not congruous. However, that does not mean that we have stopped talking.”

The representative spoke to Canale 21: “Everybody plays their role. The club made their proposal and we tabled our request. We will continue to discuss. I have read somewhere that Insigne asked for the moon, but that was not truthful. He cares very deeply about this team, maybe excessively so; it is like a body part for him. You would be hard-pressed to find a player more attached to Napoli than him.”

“I can not provide a percentage about him staying or leaving at this stage. As they say, it takes two for marriage; therefore, we will have some more meetings to see whether it is possible to prolong his contract. We are in December, and it is not too late. However, if you really want something, you have to start working on it.”

“Insigne has been a top player for many years, yet he always finds the right motivation to keep improving. Mainstays like him are rare, and I think he would have deserved better.” The striker missed the Atalanta game due to a calf injury. Pisacane weighed in: “He had a muscular ailment and is not feeling great right now. He is stubborn and would like to get on the pitch even if in pain, but he had to sit out. I hope he can recover for Sunday. I would be very careful if I were him.”
