Federico Dimarco is undoubtedly a fan favorite at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and his stature has only elevated since his wonderstrike against Frosinone from 56 meters away. While it was always known that the 26-year-old would sign a contract extension, Inter are reportedly accelerating efforts to tie the fullback to a long-term deal.

Dimarco’s current contract runs out in the summer of 2026, but despite having another full year before he can open talks with other interested clubs, the Nerazzurri management is eager to seal the deal, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs (via Tribuna).
Initial contacts have long taken place between the player’s entourage and Inter, who wish to recognize Dimarco as an integral member of Simone Inzaghi’s squad. Dimarco himself reiterated his intention to stay put after his match-winning goal against Empoli back in September, which was yet another fantastic strike to say the least.
The left wingback continues to impress across all fronts for Inter, with two unbeatable strikes along with four assists already this campaign.
He is concretely one of the reasons why the Nerazzurri have been able to maintain a spotless start to their new season despite their solitary defeat to Sassuolo back in September.
