Inter Among Clubs Interested in Barcelona Outcast Umtiti

Samuel Umtiti experienced somewhat of a revelation at Lecce last season following his expulsion from the Barcelona first-team. However, he is set to leave the Spanish giants once and for all, with several clubs interested in his services.

As per Spanish outlet SPORT (via FCInterNews), Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Lyonnais and Serie A heavyweights Inter are equally interest to sign the French defender. Umtiti graduated from Lyon’s youth academy in 2012, having spent 10 years as a budding youngster at the club. While a homecoming cannot entirely be ruled out, big money offers from Saudi Arabia could spoil any such ideas.

Reportedly, Umtiti has received two offers from Saudi Arabian clubs in the past week. A mega-money offer is expectedly in the works to entice the Lyon graduate, who is equally leaning towards an adventure in the Middle East.

He is under contract at Barca until 2025, and is expected to choose his next club by the end of the month, before pre-season friendlies begin. Umtiti played an extremely pivotal role in helping Lecce stay afloat in Serie A.
