Inter have started seeking for a new contributor on the left wing, as Ivan Perisic might not re-up his contract, and Fabrizio Angileri could be a cheap candidate. He will be a free agent in a few months as well. He is one of the options to back up Robin Gosens next season.
According to Radio La Red, the 28-year-old has drawn interest from multiple European sides. He is expected to move across the pond after seven years at Godoy Cruz and three at River Plate. He has tallied 3 goals and 18 assists in 95 Superliga matches and has made 28 appearances in Copa Libertadores. Getafe are also eyeing him. They will probably lose their starter Mathias Olivera, who is very close to joining Napoli.
Inter have placed Angileri in the list of potential targets should Perisic depart. The Nerazzurri also have Anderlecht’s Sergio Gomez on their radar for the same role. He addressed the rumors in an interview with Cadena Ser: “I do not know what will happen in the future. However, I would not mind returning to Barcelona, which was my home for eight years. I am very grateful to them. They helped me grow as a man and as a player. I am focusing on the end of the season with my club and the national team. I am not paying much attention to the transfer market.”
Angileri has decided not to renew his deal with River Plate, and his agent will soon meet Inter, Radio Continental relays.
